The Muscle Behind the Move
This rugged 2D ring scanner operates at distances of up to 20.9 inches and can accurately read bars as thin as 20 mils. The industrial-grade imager on the Honeywell 8620 ring scanner accurately reads 1D, 2D and PDF 417 images for versatility and productivity. It operates even while in motion, and can read many poor-quality bar codes that stop other scanners cold.
The 8620 integrates seamlessly with the Honeywell Dolphin series of mobile computers that run Windows Embedded Handheld and Android 4.4. Its soft rubber-finger straps are comfortable to wear even during an entire shift. The straps are impervious to moisture, easily cleaned and resist sliding or twisting while worn. The straps can be easily changed between shifts.
At under 3 ounces, this ring scanner can be used all day without causing fatigue, but it’s rugged enough to withstand 5-foot drops onto concrete floors. It can operate under temperature extremes and is certified to meet IP54 standards for moisture and particle intrusion.
